Central Coast Books a San Luis Obispo County-based publishing company and book distributor operating since 1992. Under the name Central Coast Press, they publish titles focusing on non-fiction local topics; that is, nature, history, Native Americans, travel, marine life etc. As a distributor, they sell and distribute books and postcards to bookstores and retail shops along California's Central Coast from San Cruz to Santa Maria. Central Coast Books carries titles of their own as well as those from some sixty other publishers. They offer close to 1000 different titles. They are authorized vendors of the major book chains such as Barnes & Noble, Waldenbooks, Borders and Amazon.com.
Because of the increasing interest in self-publishing and ever-growing difficulty in getting a foot in the door of big East Coast publishers, Central Coast Books offers a variety of publishing and design services to authors and groups wishing to publish their own works.
Central Coast Books is affiliated with EZ Nature Books of Los Osos and Pacific Books/Shoreline Press of Santa Barbara.We operate as separate but cooperative businesses. Ez Nature distributes books in northern California/Oregon/Washington; CCB along the Central Coast; and Pacific Books in Santa Barbara and south. Combined gross annual sales of all three exceed $1 million.

Debbie Pittman ~
Illustrator for
TALES FROM THE CORNER, has been painting commercially since she was 16, and sold approximately 1,000 paintings “through the years.” She works primarily in acrylic and oils, but has done works in watercolor, sculpture, pen & ink, digital graphic design, photography and with non-traditional materials.
